People were mingling and listening to live bluegrass music while others were enjoying the abundance of different foods and crafts.

As I strolled down the cobblestone sidewalks, I could not believe the fine dining, jewelry, and art studios, as well as the clothing apparel stores that laced this quaint downtown dream. I called it "Little Rodeo Drive." With the old two-story well-preserved brick stores and tall white church steeples mixed about the backdrop of huge mountain peaks in the distance, I was having what some call "a moment." I would plead with everyone to enjoy the best kept secret in the North Carolina mountains. Historic downtown Waynesville is unbelievable.”
